Opening
the prelude to large-scale M&A in the nonferrous metals industry
On December 28, 2009,
China Minmetals Corporation and Hunan Nonferrous Metals signed an agreement
that the former would increase capital and expand share to HNM by investing RMB
5.559 billion and ultimately hold 51% shares of HNM. This reorganization became
the first large-scale M&A project after the promulgation of Restructuring and Revitalization Plan for
the Nonferrous Metals Industry. CEA provided asset appraisal for the
M&A project. Appraisal results were approved by both sides of the project.
CEA’s outstanding service won the trust of clients. The subsequent overall
listing project of CMC was also entrusted CEA to undertake related appraisals.
